HISTORY

1942 Founder Martin Bathe Sr. moved from Argle Mo., a small town near Jefferson City, to St. Louis where he found war-time employment at a small arms plant as the foreman of electrical maintenance.

1945 Martin Bathe Sr. founds Bathe Electric Co., employing 15 electricians out of the garage of his home in Jennings, Mo.

HISTORY

1958 To accommodate its growing business, Bathe Electric Co. relocates to a larger office and warehouse in Dellwood, Mo. In addition, Martin's son, Ed Bathe, joins the company as a purchasing agent.

1972 Bathe Electric Co. expands again and relocates to Hazelwood, Mo.

1979 Ed Bathe's son and current president of J. Bathe Electric Co., Jeff Bathe, joins the family business as an electrical apprentice.

1995 Following in the entrepreneurial footsteps of his father and grandfather, Jeff Bathe establishes J. Bathe Electric, expanding and building on the knowledge acquired in his 16 years of service.

HISTORY

2001 J. Bathe Electric sees substantial growth and relocates to a larger office and 5,000-square-foot warehouse in St. Charles, Mo.

2004 J. Bathe Electric hires Dave Davis to oversee Home-Tech, a division of J. Bathe which specializes in low-voltage, home electronic technology.

2008 Home-Tech, a division of J. Bathe Electric moves into a new office and state-of-the-art show room in St. Charles, Mo.
